Most people who come to us asking for the XLIM 3 Ultra end up comparing three boxes: the 3 Ultra, the XLIM Pro 4 and the plain XLIM 4. They look alike and the spec sheets blur together fast. Here is how I would choose between them, and who should skip each one.
Quick answer: Buy the XLIM Pro 4 if you want the biggest battery of the three, the fastest charging and a colour screen. Buy the XLIM 3 Ultra if you already have standard XLIM cartridges at home and like fine control over airflow. Buy the XLIM 4 if you want the simplest one, no screen, and the lowest price of the three right now.
First, clear up the names
A lot of people type "XLIM Pro 3 Ultra" into Google. On our shelf that is two different kits: the XLIM Pro 3 and the XLIM 3 Ultra.
The same thing happens one generation up. The XLIM Pro 4 and the XLIM 4 are not the same device with a different badge. The Pro 4 has an 1800mAh battery and charges at 5V/3A. The XLIM 4 has 1600mAh and charges at 5V/2A. They also use different cartridges and one has a screen while the other has a ring light. OXVA gives each of them its own product page, and so do we.

A note on the Ultra. We only print numbers we have checked against OXVA or our own product record, and the Ultra's battery and wattage figures are not in that set yet. If battery size is the one thing you care about, the Pro 4 is the safe choice because its 1800mAh is confirmed.
XLIM Pro 4: the one I would pick for heavy users
The Pro 4 has the biggest confirmed battery here at 1800mAh, and it charges faster than the XLIM 4 because it takes 5V/3A instead of 5V/2A. OXVA quotes about 40 minutes to full. If you leave home at nine and do not see a charger until evening, that battery is the reason to spend the extra.
The screen is a proper HD colour display with four themes. The bigger change is the cartridge. The Pro 4 runs the XLIM ABT cartridge, ABT meaning anti-burn tech, with smart liquid-level detection that you switch on or off with eight button presses. It is designed to stop you firing a dry coil. There is also an ECO mode, and it fires on the button or on auto draw.
The kit comes with 0.6 ohm and 0.8 ohm cartridges, and the device supports 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm. OXVA says one cartridge lasts around two to three weeks depending on how you vape.
Who should skip it: anyone who wants the lightest kit in the pocket, since at 89g it is the heavier of the two we have weights for. And if you have a drawer full of standard XLIM cartridges, remember the Pro 4 is built around the ABT cartridge. Plan your spares around that.
XLIM 3 Ultra: the one most people ask for
The Ultra is the XLIM most of our customers come looking for. You get an HD colour screen that shows battery, wattage, coil resistance and a puff count, all in a metal body. The airflow is a slider rather than a fixed ring, so you can go from a tight mouth to lung draw for salts to an open restricted lung draw for freebase on the same device.
Its real advantage is the cartridge. OXVA lists the XLIM 3 Ultra among the devices that take the XLIM top-fill cartridge, the same family used by the XLIM 4, XLIM Pro 3, XLIM Go 2 and XLIM Go Lite. Our XLIM 3ml replacement cartridge comes in 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm, so whatever you vape, there is a spare that fits.
We have it in eight colours, from Bordeaux Red and Mint Green to Ultra Carbon and Midnight Black.
Who should skip it: someone choosing on battery alone. The Pro 4 sits in the same price band and its battery figure is confirmed. If you never touch the airflow and do not care about a puff counter, the cheaper XLIM 4 gives you the same cartridge.
XLIM 4: the simple one
No screen. One ring light that tells you the battery: red from 0 to 30 percent, blue from 30 to 65, green from 65 to 100. You double-click the button to move between three power levels that top out at 30W. That is the whole interface.
Inside it is a 1600mAh battery, charging at 5V/2A, and the new UNITECH 3.0 top-fill cartridge. The box ships with a 0.8 ohm cartridge, and 0.4, 0.6 and 1.2 ohm are also supported. OXVA recommends 12 to 16W on the 0.8 ohm and 26 to 30W on the 0.4 ohm. After a refill, give it the 30 seconds of priming OXVA asks for before you pull on it.
It fires on inhale or on the button, weighs 78.1g and stands 121mm tall, so it is the lighter of the two fourth-generation kits. There are ten finishes, including the Silken leather ones and Nacre White.
Who should skip it: people who like seeing numbers. If you want to know your exact wattage or how many puffs you took today, get one of the screen models.
Which one for whom
Switching from cigarettes
Get the XLIM 4, keep the 0.8 ohm cartridge in, and fill it with something from our nic salt range. No setup.
Vaping all day, long shifts, no charger at work
The XLIM Pro 4. The 1800mAh battery and faster charging are what you are paying for.
You already own an XLIM
The XLIM 3 Ultra or the XLIM 4. OXVA says the XLIM 4's UNITECH 3.0 cartridge also fits the Ultra, Pro 3, Pro 2, Go 2 and Go Lite, so one set of spares can serve your old device and the new one.
You vape freebase at higher wattage
Any of the three on a 0.4 ohm cartridge, with a bottle from our freebase e-liquid collection. The Ultra's slider makes the airflow easiest to dial in for that style.
You are on a tighter budget
Look one step down. The XLIM Go 2 and the XLIM Go Lite both sit under Rs 5,000 and take the same XLIM top-fill cartridge.
You own a Pro 3 that still works
Keep it. The Pro 3 has a 1500mAh battery, a 1.05 inch screen and up to 30W, still a good kit. The Pro 4 gives you 300mAh more and faster charging. Worth it if your Pro 3 is dying, not worth it if it isn't.
Pods and running costs
Cartridges are what you keep buying, so think about them before you choose.
OXVA says the XLIM 4's top-fill cartridge also fits the Ultra, the Pro 3, the Pro 2 and the Go models. Two vapers in one house can share one set of spares. The Pro 4 runs the ABT cartridge instead, so check our OXVA replacement pods page before you order and know what you will be buying next month.
A cartridge dies early for two reasons: firing it before the cotton is soaked, and putting thick high-VG juice in a high-resistance coil. Use 0.8 or 1.2 ohm with salts, and 0.4 or 0.6 ohm with freebase.
Buying an XLIM in Pakistan
Any device this popular gets copied. Every XLIM we sell is original OXVA stock, and you can pay cash on delivery, so you see the box before you pay. Delivery takes 1 to 3 working days across the country.
Heat is the other thing. Do not leave any pod kit on the dashboard of a parked car in a Lahore or Multan summer. Lithium batteries do not like that kind of heat.
If none of these three feels right, browse the full OXVA XLIM pod kits range, the wider OXVA pod kits collection, or everything in vape devices and pod kits.
These products contain nicotine. For adults 18+ only.
