How to choose

Amp rating is the figure that matters on a battery, not capacity. A high-drain cell such as the Samsung 40T at 30A or the Sony VTC5A is what a sub-ohm mod needs, because a low-drain cell pushed past its rating gets hot and fails. Capacity in mAh only tells you how long it runs between charges, so a 4000mAh 21700 lasts longer than a 3000mAh 18650 in the same mod if your device takes the larger size. Check your mod's battery bay before ordering, since 18650 and 21700 are not interchangeable. Charge loose cells in a dedicated charger rather than leaving them in the device overnight: the four-slot CellKing suits anyone running a dual-battery mod, and the two-slot Nitecore is enough for a single-cell setup. Never carry a bare cell in a pocket with coins or keys. The two tanks here are 510 threaded, so they fit any standard mod.
